Vacation ART camp runs over December holiday break and includes lantern making, snow and ice art and shadow puppet play! With lots of outside time sprinkled into the fun - this camp is a breath of fresh air mid-holiday break!
In this camp we will explore the ARTS that surround the stage. Musical instruments, puppets, costumes, face painting, dancing, movement games & more, in this three day camp participants will have the chance to create and star in their own show -- or just have fun exploring dramatic arts within our process art and play based studio. This camp is such a special experience for children ages 5-13.
Dream House Design was new to the studio last year and it became a fast favorite! Campers are invited to customize their very own IKEA wooden dollhouse from exterior painting to interior design, furnishings and inhabitants. Nature infused sensory stations, including indoor and outdoor potions play time round out this play based child led experience. Creative fun for children ages 5 and up that becomes a keepsake.
Tree Forts & Fairy Houses Camp is a fun child led way for children to contemplate and create with natural materials — planning and building their very own fairy house to take home with them at the end of camp! Materials provided and we will also go on adventure walks to collect and find just the right things to embellish our creations.
Nature Arts Camp is a fun way for children to connect with the natural world, selected art materials, and each other in our our sensory rich, play based process art studio! We will play with bundle dying using natural fibers, create our own mosaic pots, play at needle felting and more!
This simple and fun camp for kids ages 8+ is a great introduction to sewing with some projects lined up and lots of room for kids to explore with our materials. From stitches to embroidery we will make some stuffed friends and outfit a clothespin with our new stitching skills.
This hands on class is especially designed to mix creativity with child-led sensory PLAY for the ultimate learning experience. Class includes materials and tools to go home with the children so you can take the studio fun with you wherever you go. Register for all three or drop in! Make Summer a splash with this fun series.
Nature Explorers is a gentle introduction to our fun hands on studio. Fun, play, Nature, exploring — we love making this place to create with friends!
Join us on Monday June 20 & 27 for Sensory Fun with music and more! Classes are gently lead by studio owner Emily Burkland and feature child led sensory rich ART fun on the porch and in the studio with lots of opportunities to PLAY! Babes in arms are free and cost covers one child and one caregiver.

Come explore a variety of dance and art styles in this mixed level camp for all kids in 1st-6th grades. Emphasis will be on dance and art-making and campers will have the opportunity to play with different elements of both disciplines to make their own creations. We will split into two groups and campers will spend half the morning making art and the other half making dance. We were share our work with each other throughout the week! Camp Directors Ashley Hensel Browning and Emily Burkland (Community Art Garden) along with volunteers will keep you moving and smiling as you learn new moves, play with new ideas, and work with friends to create your own dances and art. Come ready to be physical, get messy, and have fun! Bring water and a snack. Let's make dance and art!
Camp takes place at Chester Andover Elementary and Community Art Garden (we will be walking between locations each day with Emily and Ashley)

This class is for babies, toddlers and their caregivers. Class price includes one child and one caregiver. Babes in arms are free. Come explore sensory rich activities in a fun and creative environment.
